Living Room into Master Suite

Interior Remodel - Plain City, Ohio

Before the remodel, the Foyer was a standard entry Hall without a lot of space and often went unused.  Essentially, a walk-way and nothing more. The living room was so disconnected that it, too, often went unused. Our goal was to make every space in this house “count”.

During the Design Phase, we decided to make something MORE out of this foyer!  It is now a Library for books and a cute, comfortable space for the kids to do homework and read.

The main entry door was dated and made the space very dark.  We added glass double doors at the front to bring in the light and make the space more inviting.

This beautiful Master Suite was created by utilizing the space of that unused Living Room, a small guest room, and existing hall bathroom.

The Living Room fireplace was refinished; built-ins and windows were added to the wall to create a real focal point in the new bedroom.

To maximize the square footage, you enter the master bedroom through a hallway lined with beautiful custom-built closet cabinetry – but you would never know it!  Hiding within the cabinetry is also a washer and dryer.

The bathroom is a modest size, but with high-quality, beautiful finishes.
